Find the appropriate transcript in the Teacher's Guide for the section you are working on and familiarize yourself with the theme and the beginnings and ends of the tracks. |

| Teacher: CD player, CD, teacher's guide | Student: CHAT ESL RADIO magazine |

ACTUAL LESSON
| Pre-listening: | Students look at the page and predict what they'll hear on the radio program based on what they see on the page. |
| While listening: | Students listen to one or two tracks. Repeat the track(s) if nessesary. Allow them to complete the comprehension activities in their magazine. |
| Post-listening: | Correct these activities. Students complete the My Ideas section in class and share their opinions in a small group. |
| Homework: | Assign the Reaching Out section(s). |
| Evaluation: | When you have completed a theme, have the students do the formative listening and writing evaluations (The “Write” Stuff). |
